3440x1440 wallpapers
Free ultrawide wallpapers at exactly 3440 × 1440 pixels, the resolution of most 34-inch ultrawide monitors. Each one is composed for the extra-wide 21:9 shape, so it fills the curved screen instead of being cropped from a 16:9 picture.

Which screens are 3440 × 1440?
Most 34-inch ultrawide monitors, curved and flat, run at 3440 × 1440. They are as tall as a 1440p monitor but a third wider. A normal 16:9 wallpaper has to be enlarged and lose a large part of its top and bottom to fill that width, which is why ultrawide screens need their own size.
Smaller 29-inch ultrawides at 2560 × 1080 have almost the same shape: the 3440 × 1440 file scales down to them with only a sliver trimmed. Our ultrawide guide covers super-ultrawide and dual-monitor sizes.
How do I check my resolution?
On Windows 11, open Settings › System › Display: Display resolution shows your screen's size, usually marked (Recommended). Display scaling such as 125% or 150% does not change which wallpaper you need; the wallpaper is drawn at the screen's full resolution.

3440x1440 wallpaper questions
What size wallpaper does a 34-inch ultrawide need?
Most 34-inch ultrawides are 3440 × 1440 pixels, so a 3440 × 1440 wallpaper fills them exactly.
Is 3440x1440 really 21:9?
Roughly. 3440 × 1440 is about 2.39:1, which monitor makers round to 21:9.
Can I use a 3440x1440 wallpaper on a 2560x1080 monitor?
Yes. The shapes are nearly the same, so Windows scales it down with only a thin strip cropped, and it stays sharp.
Why does a normal wallpaper look zoomed on my ultrawide?
A 16:9 picture is much narrower than the screen, so Windows enlarges it to fill the width and cuts off the top and bottom. Use an ultrawide wallpaper instead.
Are these wallpapers free?
Yes. Every wallpaper is free to download and use on your own devices. The license page explains the details.
